From the 2-5 January 2010, Geelong and Williamstown hosted the 21st edition of the Jayco Bay Classic. Billed as the fastest cycling criterium series in the world. Many of the top Australian and Overseas riders use it to brush up on the training for the Tour Down Under, or to win it, in its own right.
I again had some friends racing in the Mens, Womens and Support races. I popped along to take some pics of the action.
Here are some of my favourites
Brett Tivers – NZ (The Freedom Machine/Prime Estate) corners through turn one, trying to chase down the breakaway.
Robbie McEwen – Three time Green Jersey winner in the Tour de France @ Sram corner.

Chris Tymms O2 Networks, showing how to take a corner.
Chris Tymms – O2 Networks, showing how not to take a corner.
Chris Sutton – Team Sky,on his way to winning the 4 race, Jayco Bay Classic series.
Baden Cooke – Team SaxoBank and eventual race winner of race 4 @ Williamstown.
