On a miserable Melbourne Winters morning, I found one of the most perfect places to take photos. The Upstairs Master Bedroom in Bayside Sandringham.
Three gorgeous little girls and their parents were my subjects.
It wasn’t hard to convince the girls that jumping around on Mummy & Daddy’s bed, to be a good idea.
Here is just a little teaser.
More to come.

My daughters took advantage of the lovely room and light, for a quick snap too!
I hope you like them, I had fun taking them.
A few weeks ago as I was setting up for my exhibition @ Cafe Racer in St Kilda http://leighschilling.com/?p=574 and out the front of I saw this amazing bike. The owner was watching us admiring his bike and came out to let us know a little about this Japanese work of art.

It is a custom built Toyo Homme track frame left bare. Keeping in the Japanese theme it was sporting Dura Ace cranks and front brakes.

Some amazing Phil Wood Hubs laced to Full Polished Deep V rims whose maker eludes me.
The bike was built up by Dan @ Shifter Bikes

Lotus was only 7 days old the day I took these images, she already had her entire family wrapped around her little finger. Not that there was much for her to need. She is a very calm little baby girl. Low on fuss- only a small quiet whimper when she needs attention. I wondered if she did indeed make any type of noise or commotion. She is a little Princess, already nicknamed “Lo-lo” by her cousins and friends. I think she is beautiful. Congrats to Mum and Dad!
Big sister Rafferty had to get in on the action too! She is at the bottom.

I had the pleasure of spending a few hours with Shannah Kennedy to do a portrait session, for her soon to be updated website. www.shannahkennedy.com Like many busy women, she runs a successful business, a family and the household.
Shannah is a strong woman, she know’s what she wants and what she likes. What she isn’t though, is comfortable in front of a camera. Usually behind it, is where Shannah is happier. So it took a good 10-15 mins for Shannah to get used to smiling and posing. I showed her some of the images I was taking and that put her at ease. Over the course of a couple of hours, it was really nice to get to know her a little and see her get comfortable in herself, in front of the camera.
I can’t wait to see her new website when it is finished, but for now here are a few of my favourites. You look great Shannah!

So lock in the date for Opening night, Finger Food and Soft Drinks provided.
Hope to see you there!

I didn’t think I was going to get a leave pass, to head down to the Melburn Roobaix, put on by www.fyxomatosis.com.
I rode in with www.cyclingtipsblog.com and could only hang around for an hour, until the riders took off on their journeys up Mason st.
Many of the riders on singlespeeds and fixies, couldn’t get up the hill.
I really wanted to cruise around with these guys on my bike to document the good fun and friendly mischief. Maybe next year.
Here are a few of my favourite pics from the short time I was around.

Caught doing extra Kms.
I also made a trip down to Green Point in Brighton to take a couple of snaps of the awesome Specialized Tarmac SL3 Superlight, the nice folks down at Hampton Bicycles provided me with. This thing is amazing to ride. I have the regular SL3 and thought nothing could compare to it, this does and then some!
